Broker

C. Terry Robertson has been the Broker at Desert Realty since 1980. His experience prior to that time was in real estate sales and investments. He soon discovered, however, that his real interest was in property management. Mr. Robertson was one of the first brokers in Nevada to specialize in the management of rental residential properties. He was one of eight founding members of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) in 1986 - an organization which has grown to 2600 members across 33 states. NARPM is dedicated to the education and exchange of information among managers who specialize in the management of residential properties.

Mr. Robertson has earned the following designations:

  • Certified Property Manager (CPM)
  • Professional Property Manager (PPM)
  • Associate Degree in Real Estate

Mr. Robertson belongs to the following professional organizations:

Comptroller

Carrie Field is a thirty year employee. She is responsible for making sure that the owner's rent monies and reports are mailed within three working days after the tenant pays the rent. She runs a very "tight ship" and sees that all accounts balance each day.

Bookkeeper

Gina O'Brien has been at Desert Realty for twenty-nine years. She prepares reports and handles accounts receivable and payable. She is Mrs. Field's right hand.

Property Manager Supervisor

Beverly Long has been employed by Desert Realty for thirty years. She obtained her real estate license in 1986 and has achieved the Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) designation. Prior to associating with Desert Realty, Mrs. Long held the position of Property Director with a large development and management company, where she supervised the management operation of 4,200 units located in three states.

Broker/Salesperson, SFR, Assistant Property Manager

Christina Unruh moved to Las Vegas from Steubenville, Ohio in 1961. She has served Southern Nevada in Real Estate Investments & Property Management since 2002. She came to Desert Realty March 27, 2014 as Broker Salesperson & Assistant Property Manager. She enjoys music, art, sewing & entertaining.

Administrative Assistant/Marketing

Shirley Brauer has lived in Las Vegas for twenty years and has been with Desert Realty Inc. for fourteen years. Moving to Las Vegas from California, where she grew up, Shirley has many years working with the public in the health care and casino industries. Her hobbies are sports and music - but don’t ask her about the San Francisco 49'ers unless you have three or four hours to discuss every aspect of the team and its players.

Receptionist/Cashier

Lori Mancini was born and raised in Las Vegas. She has been in the property management field for six years, which comes in handy when dealing with our numerous tenants. She loves animals, as evident by her 4 dogs, 4 cats and 2 fish. Lori is a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

File Clerk

Betty Gaut-Green retired after twenty-three years of Civil Service in California and moved to Las Vegas six years ago. She has many years of office work experience. Betty does an excellent job of keeping all owner and tenant files up to date. Her hobbies are tennis, golf and church and she does volunteer work in her community.

Property Maintenance Supervisor

Mary Miller has completed twenty-nine years with Desert Realty. She oversees the turn-around process to ensure minimal down time for our vacant properties. She has twenty-four years experience as an on-site manager of apartment complexes, including one complex with 386 units. In 1982 she also found the time to obtain the Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Property Maintenance Coordinator

Maria Monroy moved to Las Vegas from Colombia in 1999. She has worked in the real estate mortgage field for 7 years, 5 of which she assisted loan officers & realtors in general home loans. Maria is working as Maintenance Coordinator for Desert Realty. Being a people person, she will fit into this position helping our owners & tenants with all aspects of maintaining their properties.

Turn-Around Specialists

Nick Kostos came to Las Vegas from Omaha, Nebraska with a background of eighteen years in bank management, insurance, and managing his own business in home repair and remodeling. He enjoys playing golf, Nebraska football games and The History Channel. He also makes stained glass windows, and loves to cook.

Chris Redd came to Desert Realty after 32 years providing HVAC maintenance & service to the retail industry. He moved to Las Vegas 13 years ago from Laguna Niguel, Calif. He is very complete in detail with all inspections of our vacant units. In his spare time you will most likely find him on a golf course.

Property Inspector

Vicki Testa has been in Las Vegas since 1993. Vicki has assisted two Realtors, and managed a motel. She also managed an apartment complex for four years. She is involved in annual property inspections.

Jim Greely has lived in Las Vegas since 1998 and was an advocate in Human Resources for developmentally disabled adults for over 15 years. Jim also has worked in IT support for Clark County & the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas. Jim has done inspections for Desert Realty since 2009, and took a leave of absence to assist with the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in late 2012.

Richard Heiberger is from Chicago, Illinois and an avid Chicago Bears fan. Living in Las Vegas for over thirty years with over 20 years in retail management experience. He came to Desert Realty as a property inspector doing weekly inspections on vacant properties. In his spare time he and his wife love to walk their two rescue dogs and of course catch the Chicago Bears games on TV.

Leasing Agents

Jerome Kaye owned his own business for many years. After retiring in California, he spent several years in the real estate field. He retired to Las Vegas, but found the need to be active. He is now happily leasing houses with Desert Realty.

Amanda Wright has had her Nevada Real Estate license since 1999. She began selling homes nine years ago. She now is a leasing agent for Desert Realty. Before becoming a Realtor she was an employment recruiter in the Hotel/Casino industry. In her spare time you can find her spending time with her friends and family, snowboarding or at the gym.

As you can see, we have been around for a l-o-n-g time!
